Operator's Manual
•MountingtheProCoreAeratortotherearofthetractor
willdecreasetheweightonthetractorfrontaxle.To
ensureadequatesteeringcontrolandstabilityitmaybe
necessarytoaddballasttothefrontofthetractor.Refer
totractoroperator'smanualforballastrequirements.
•Keepallshieldsandsafetydevicesinplace.Ifashield,
safetydeviceordecalisdamaged,repairorreplaceit
beforeoperationiscommenced.Alsotightenanyloose
nuts,bolts,andscrewstoensurethatthemachineisin
safeoperatingcondition.
•Whileoperatingthemachine,alwayswearsubstantial,
slip-resistantfootwear,longtrousers,hardhat,safety
glasses,andhearingprotection.Tiebacklonghairanddo
notwearjewelryorlooseclothing.
Operation
•Keepallbystandersandpetsawayfromtheworkarea.
•Usingthemachinedemandsattentiontoensurecontrol
ofthemachine.Rememberto:
–Useonlyindaylightorwhenthereisgoodarticial
light.
–Watchforholesorotherhiddenhazards.
–Donottransportmachineclosetoasandtrap,ditch,
creek,orotherhazard.
–Reducespeedonsidehillsandbeforemakingsharp
turnstopreventtippingorlossofcontrol.
–Lookbehindtheaeratorbeforebackingup.
•Ifthetinesstrikeasolidobjectorthemachinevibrates
abnormally,disengagethePTO,engagetheparking
brakeandshutofftheengine.Removethekeyfrom
ignitionswitch.Checktheaeratorandthetractionunit
fordamage.Repairanydamagebeforestartingtheengine
andoperatingthetines.Ensurethatthetinesareingood
conditionandallboltsaretight.
•Beforeleavingaeratorandthetractorunattended,
disengagepowertotheaerator,lowertheaerator,and
engagetheparkingbrakeofthetractor(ifapplicable).
Shutofftheengineofthetractor.
•Neverdismountwhiletractorisinmotion.Nevergeton
orofftractorwhileengineisrunningandPTOdriveshaft
isengaged.NeverstepoverPTOshafttoreachother
sideoftheaerator;walkaroundthemachine.
•Parktheaeratoronahard,levelsurface;installtheaerator
storagestandsbeforedisconnectingfromthetractor.
•Ifitisnecessarytoprobebelowthesoilsurface,usea
non-conductivematerialtopreventelectricalshockin
caseelectricalwiresarepresent.
Transporting
•Ensurethatyouareincompliancewithallregulations
regardingtransportingequipmentonthepublicroads
andhighways.
•Ensurethatallreectorsandlightsrequiredareinplace
andarecleanandvisiblebyovertakingandoncoming
trafc.
•Neverallowanyonetorideonthemachineduring
transport.
•Reducespeedonroughroadsandsurfaces
•Independentbrakesshouldalwaysbelockedtogether
whenontheroad.
PTOShaft
•ForallPTOshaftsteelparts(tubes,bearings,jointsetc.)
disassemblyorrepairs,itishighlyadvisabletocontact
yourlocalTorodistributor.Removalofcomponentsfor
repairsandreassemblymaydamagesomepartsifnot
carriedoutcorrectlyusingspecialtoolsavailableina
distributor'sworkshop.
•ThePTOshaftmustnotbeusedwithouttheguards
supplied,withpartialprotectionorwithdamagedguard,
oronCEmachines,withoutthespecialanti-rotation
chainscorrectlyhooked,soastopermitthemaximum
angleofthePTOshaftwithoutbreakingthechains.
Maintenance
•Beforemakingadjustmentsorperformingmaintenance
ontheaerator,shutofftheengine,stopthePTO,and
engagetheparkingbrakebeforedismountingfromthe
tractor.Ensurethattheaeratorisonthegroundor
loweredontothesafetystands.
•Supportthemachinewithblocksorjacks,oronstorage
standswhenworkingbeneathit.Neverrelyonthe
tractor'shydraulicstosupportthemachine.
•Placeallcontrolsinneutral,shutofftheengine,engage
theparkingbrake,andwaitforallmovingpartstostop
beforeservicing,maintaining,adjusting,orunblocking
theaerator.
•Besurethatthemachineisinsafeoperatingcondition
bykeepingnuts,bolts,andscrewstight.Checkthe
tinemountingboltsfrequentlytobesurethattheyare
tightenedtospecication.
•Donotcheckoradjustbelttensionwhenthetractor
engineisrunning.
•Ensurethatallguardsarereplacedandthehoodis
securedshutaftermaintainingoradjustingthemachine.
•Performonlythosemaintenanceinstructionsdescribedin
thismanual.Ifmajorrepairsareeverneededorassistance
isdesired,contactanAuthorizedToroDistributor.
•Tobestprotectyourinvestmentandmaintainoptimal
performanceofyourToroequipment,countonToro
