Thegearboxislledwith80W-90gearoilor
equivalent.
1.Cleandebrisfromthellplugandthedraincap
toavoidcontamination(Figure30).
2.Removethellplugtorelieveairdraw.
3.Positionadrainpanunderthedraintubeand
removethedraincap.
Note:Thehighviscosityofcooloilextendsthe
draintime(approximately30minutes).
4.Afteroiliscompletelydrained,installthedrain
cap.
5.Fillthegearboxwith1650ml(56oz)ofhigh
quality80W-90gearlube.
6.Installthellplug.
7.Checktheoillevel.

Aftertheinitial8hoursofuse,checkthecoringhead
fastenerstoensurethatpropertorqueismaintained.
Fastenertorquerequirementsarelistedonthe

However,thenormalexposuretoUVradiation,ozone
orincidentalexposuretochemicalscandeteriorate
therubbercompoundingovertimeandleadto
prematurewearormaterialloss(i.e.chunking).
Annualbeltinspectionishighlyrecommendedfor
signsofwear,excessivecushioncracks,orlarge
embeddeddebriswithreplacementwhenneeded.

Makesurethatthebeltisproperlytensionedtoensure
correctoperationofthemachineandtoprevent
unnecessarywear.
