Note:Determinetheleftandrightsidesofthe
machinefromthenormaloperatingposition.
AdjustingAerationDepth
Adjusttheaerationdepthonlywhenthetractor
isparked,theparkingbrakeisengaged,the
engineisoffandthePTOisdisengaged.
1.Laythedesiredtineontothedepthdecalwhile
aligningthetinetipwiththedesiredaerationdepth
asshowninFigure20.

2.Determinethelettersettingalignedwiththe
mountingendoftine(Figure20).Adjustthedepth
controltothecorrespondingletteronthedecal.
3.Inserta9/16”socketw/ratchetontothedepth
adjusterinputshaft(Figure21).

5.Rotatethedepthadjusterclockwise(CW)toreduce
theaerationdepthorrotatecounterclockwise
(CCW)toincreasetheaerationdepth.(Figure21).
6.Rotatethedepthadjusterinputshaftuntilthe
desireddepthisattainedasshownonthedepth
indicatordecal(Figure21).
Note:Seventeen(17)revolutionsofthedepth
adjusterinputshaftequalsapproximately1/4inch
(6.4mm)depthchange.

fortransportandlowersitforoperation.
Thetractor’spowertakeoff(PTO)poweristransmitted
viashafts,gearboxanddrivebeltstoanumberof
crankshaftswhichdrivethetineholdingarmsintothe
turfsurface.
