Ensurethatthemachineisparkedona
solid,levelsurfacesuchasaconcrete
oor.Alwayschockthetractionunittires.
Priortoraisingthemachine,removeany
attachmentsthatmayinterferewiththe
safeandproperraisingofthemachine.
Whenchangingattachmentsorperforming
otherservice,usecorrectblocks,hoists
orjacks.
Usejackstandsorsolidwoodblocksto
supporttheraisedmachine.
Note:Ifavailable,useahoisttolifttherearofthe
machine.Usetheeyeletsinthecoringheadbearing
housingsashoistattachmentpoints(Figure26)

Themainworkingbearingsofthemachinearesealed
forlifeandrequirenomaintenanceorlubrication.
Thisdrasticallyreducesthemaintenancerequired
andeliminatestheriskofgreaseoroilbeingdropped
ontotheturf.
Therearegreasettingsthatmustbelubricatedwith
anSAEmulti-purpose,high-temperaturegreasewith
high-pressure(EP)performanceorSAEmulti-purpose
lithium-basedgrease.
