UsingStabilizer/Conditioner
Useafuelstabilizer/conditionerinthemachinetoprovide
thefollowingbenets:
Keepsgasolinefreshduringstorageof90daysorless.
Forlongerstorageitisrecommendedthatthefueltank
bedrained.
Cleanstheenginewhileitruns
Eliminatesgum-likevarnishbuildupinthefuelsystem,
whichcauseshardstarting
Important:Donotusefueladditivescontaining
methanolorethanol.
Addthecorrectamountofgasstabilizer/conditionertothe
gas.
Note:Afuelstabilizer/conditionerismosteffectivewhen
mixedwithfreshgasoline.Tominimizethechanceofvarnish
depositsinthefuelsystem,usefuelstabilizeratalltimes.
FillingtheFuelTank
1.Shuttheengineoffandsettheparkingbrake.
2.Cleanaroundeachfueltankcap(Figure28)and
removethecap.

3.Addunleadedregulargasolinetobothfueltanks,until
thelevelis6mmto13mm(1/4to1/2inch)belowthe
bottomofthellerneck.
Thisspaceinthetankallowsgasolinetoexpand.Do
notllthefueltankscompletelyfull.
4.Installfueltankcapssecurely.
5.Wipeupanygasolinethatmayhavespilled.
CheckingtheEngineOilLevel
Beforeyoustarttheengineandusethemachine,checktheoil
levelintheenginecrankcase;refertoServicingtheEngine
Oil.
HydraulicFluid
Important:Whenchangingtowvehiclesortractors,
makesurethehydraulicuidarecompatiblewiththe
coreprocessors.Iftheuidsarenotcompatible,any
uidremaininginthecoreprocessormustberemoved.
AdjustingtheBrushHeight
Thecoreprocessorshouldbeadjustedsothebrushtips
slightlytouchthesurfacebutdonotpenetratetheturf.Ifthe
brushtipsdopenetratetheturf,improperprocessingand
turfdamagecouldresult.
1.Positionthecoreprocessoronalevelsurface.
2.Loosenthelocknutonheightadjustmentkey(Figure
29)soitcanbepulledoutapproximately13mm(1/2
inch).
3.Loosentherollerheightadjustmentlocknuts(Figure
29).
4.Pullouttheheightadjustorkeyandmovetherear
rollerupordownbyslidingtherollerheightadjusting
platetothedesiredheight(Figure29).
Note:Eachnotchontheheightadjustingplate
represents6mm(1/4inch)rearrolleradjustment.
5.Tightenthelocknutssecuringtheadjustment.
6.Repeattheproceduretheoppositeendofthebrush.
Makesuretheadjustmentsarethesame.
