Keephandsandfeetawayfromcoreprocessor
reelwhilemachineisrunning.
Keephands,feet,hair,andclothingawayfrom
allmovingpartstopreventinjury.
NEVERoperatethemachinewithcovers,
shrouds,orguardsremoved.
Note:Beforestartingtheunit,makesurethechopper
rotatesfreely.
1.MovethrottlelevermidwaybetweenSLOWandFAST
position.
2.MovechokelevertoONposition.
Note:Chokemaynotberequiredwhenstartinga
warmengine.
3.Insertkeyintoignitionswitchandrotateitclockwise
tostarttheengine.Releasekeywhenenginestarts.
Regulatethechoketokeepenginerunningsmoothly.
Important:Topreventoverheatingofthestarter
motor,donotengagestarterlongerthan10
seconds.After10secondsofcontinuouscranking,
wait60secondsbeforeengagingstartermotor
again.
4.MovethrottlelevertoFULLenginespeed.
Note:Donotallowthecoreprocessortostandstill
whileengagedasturfdamagemayoccur.
StoppingInstructions
Note:Whenoperatingintheonepassconguration,always
lifttheaeratorfromthegroundbeforestoppingthecore
processor.
1.Beforestoppingthecoreprocessor,runthechopper
rotatorforonetotwominutestoclearexcesssoil.
2.MovethrottlelevertoSLOWpositionandwaitforthe
enginetodeceleratebeforemovingtheignitionswitch
totheOFFposition.
3.Removethekeyfromtheignitionswitchtoprevent
accidentalstarting.
Important:Tostopoperationinanemergency,
movetheremotecontrolswitchtoOFFposition.
OperatingtheCoreProcessor
Makesurethecoreprocessorisclean,especiallythebrush
andchopperhousings.
Setthebrushheightslightlyhigheraboveheightof
cut-Example:heightofcutequals3/4inchthenbrush
settingis7/8inch.
Startthecoreprocessorrst.StartatlowRPM.
Oncetheengineisstarted,increasetheRPMslowlyto
fullRPM.
AlwaysoperatethecoreprocessoratfullRPM.
Note:Ifsoilbuildsupontheinsideofthebrushorchopper
housing,scrapecleanusingthescraper,locatedatthefrontof
themachine.

Starting
Puttractoringearandstarttractormoving.
Lowerthecoreprocessortotheground.
EngagethePTOtothetractor.
Lowertheaeratortotheground
Stopping
Lifttheaeratorfromtheground
DisengagethePTOtothetractor
Liftthecoreprocessorfromtheground
Stopthetractor
Note:OnlyraisetheaeratorandtheCoreProcessorenough
todisengagetheoperation.
Note:TheCoreProcessormaynothavetoberaisedifthere
isadequateturfforturning.
TowHitchOperation
Therecommendedmaximumtowingspeedis5kph(3mph)
(1stgearlowrangehighidlefortheWorkmanVehicle)
1.Toavoiddrivingoverthecores,offsettheCore
Processorbeforemovingforward.
2.LowertheCoreProcessortostartprocessing.
3.Attheendofthepass,raisetheCoreProcessor.
Note:TheCoreProcessormaynothavetoberaisedifthere
isadequateturfforturning.
OperatingTips
Thecoreprocessorwillleaveavarietyofnishedresults
dependingontheconditions.Ingeneral,iftheconditions
aregoodforaeration,theywillbegoodforprocessing.
Soilmoisture,surfacemoistureordew,soilcomposition
andamountofsoilprocessedallcanaffectthenished
appearance.
