Theamountofsoilprocessedcanbeinuencedbythetine
size,holedepthandholespacingoftheaerator.Smallertine
sizeandwiderspacingwillleavelesssoilonthesurfaceand
requirelesspostprocessing.Somesoilmoistureisnecessary
forgoodaeration.
Properheightadjustmentisrelativelyeasytoattainbutcritical
toasuccessfuloperation.Thebrushshouldbesetator
slightlyabovetheheightofcutoftheturftobeprocessed.
Finetunethebrushheightusingthetoplinkontheonepass
system,oradjustmenthandleonthetowhitch.Ifthebrushis
tooaggressive,theprocessorwilluseexcessivehorsepower
andprematurelywearthebrush.Ifthebrushisnotaggressive
enough,somecoreswillbemissed.
Finalizeyourheightadjustmentonaremoteareaofthe
propertybeforeusingoncriticalareas.
Beforestartingoperation,surveyareatodeterminethebest
directiontowork.
Alwaystrytomakealong,continuousrunwithaslight
overlaponthereturnrun.
Note:Tomaintainastraightlinewhenoperating,sightan
objectintheforeground.
Important:Donotmakesharpturnswhenusingthe
coreprocessorasdamagetoturfmayoccur.

Ifmachinestopsgoinguphill,disengageaerator
andbackslowlydownhill.Donotattemptto

Checktheconditionoftheprocessortipafter
thecompletionofeachfairwayorsportseld.
Replaceanybrokenorloosetips.
Transporting
Whenmovingfromoneworkareatoanother,proceedas
follows;
Insertthestoragepinsintherearholeposition.
MakesuretoraisetheCoreProcessor.
Donotexceed24(15mph).
Ifusingthetowhitch,repositionthecoreprocessor
behindthevehicle,retractthetowhitchandmovethe
latchhandlepintothelockedposition(Figure35).

SoilMoisture
Soilmoisturelevelsbeyondthesaturationpointwillmake
processingdifcult.SurfaceMoisturewilltendtomixwith
theprocessedmaterialandwillcreatesomebuildupand
clumpingonthereardischargeareaandrearrollerscraper.
Whenpossible,driercoresprocessbetter.Beawarethatin
wetconditions,buildupwilloccurinthebrushhousingthat
willrequirethoroughcleanout(Seechart-Figure36).
