StartingInstructions

Keephandsandfeetawayfromcoreprocessor
reelwhilemachineisrunning.
Keephands,feet,hair,andclothingawayfrom
allmovingpartstopreventinjury.
NEVERoperatethemachinewithcovers,
shrouds,orguardsremoved.
Note:Beforestartingtheunit,makesurethechopper
rotatesfreely.
1.MovethrottlelevermidwaybetweenSLOWand
FASTposition.
2.MovechokelevertoONposition.
Note:Chokemaynotberequiredwhenstartinga
warmengine.
3.Insertkeyintoignitionswitchandrotateit
clockwisetostarttheengine.Releasekeywhen
enginestarts.Regulatethechoketokeepengine
runningsmoothly.
Important:Topreventoverheatingofthe
startermotor,donotengagestarterlongerthan
10seconds.After10secondsofcontinuous
cranking,wait60secondsbeforeengaging
startermotoragain.
4.MovethrottlelevertoFULLenginespeed.
Note:Donotallowthecoreprocessortostand
stillwhileengagedasturfdamagemayoccur.
StoppingInstructions
Note:Whenoperatingintheonepassconguration,
alwayslifttheaeratorfromthegroundbeforestopping
thecoreprocessor.
1.Beforestoppingthecoreprocessor,runthechopper
rotatorforonetotwominutestoclearexcesssoil.
2.MovethrottlelevertoSLOWpositionandwaitfor
theenginetodeceleratebeforemovingtheignition
switchtotheOFFposition.
3.Removethekeyfromtheignitionswitchtoprevent
accidentalstarting.
Important:Tostopoperationinanemergency,
movetheremotecontrolswitchtoOFF
position.
OperatingtheCoreProcessor
Makesurethecoreprocessorisclean,especiallythe
brushandchopperhousings.
Setthebrushheightslightlyhigheraboveheightof
cut-Example:heightofcutequals3/4inchthen
brushsettingis7/8inch.
Startthecoreprocessorrst.StartatlowRPM.
Oncetheengineisstarted,increasetheRPMslowly
tofullRPM.
AlwaysoperatethecoreprocessoratfullRPM.
Note:Ifsoilbuildsupontheinsideofthebrushor
chopperhousing,scrapecleanusingthescraper,located
atthefrontofthemachine.
