Donotruntheengineinaconnedareawithout
adequateventilation.Exhaustfumesarehazardous
andcouldpossiblybedeadly.
Lightningcancausesevereinjuryordeath.If
lightningisseenorthunderisheardinthearea,do
notoperatethemachine;seekshelter.
WhenusingaWorkmanasatowvehicle,itis
recommendedtoput500poundsofweightintothe
vehiclebedwhenoperatingonanyslopes.

Donotstorefuelnearamesordrainindoors.
Parkmachineonlevelground.Neverallowuntrained
personneltoservicemachine.
Usejackstandstosupportcomponentswhen
required.Performingmaintenanceonmachinenot
properlysupportedmaycausemachinetofalland
couldcauseinjury.
Carefullyreleasepressurefromcomponentswith
storedenergy.
Disconnectbatteryorremovesparkplugwires
beforemakinganyrepairs.Disconnectthenegative
terminalrstandthepositivelast.Reconnect
positiverstandnegativelast.
Removethekeyfromtheignitionswitchtoprevent
accidentalstartingoftheenginewhenservicing,
adjusting,orstoringthemachine.
Toreduceapotentialrehazard,keeptheenginefree
ofexcessivegrease,grass,leaves,andaccumulations
ofdirt.Neverwashawarmengineoranyelectrical
partswithwater.
Besurethatthemachineisinsafeoperating
conditionbykeepingnuts,bolts,andscrewstight.
Checkthechoppershaftbearingmountingboltsand
nutsfrequentlytobesurethattheyaretightenedto
specication.
Iftheenginemustberunningtoperforma
maintenanceadjustment,keephands,feet,clothing,
andotherpartsofthebodyawayfromthechopper
andothermovingparts.
Donotoverspeedtheenginebychangingthe
governorsettings.Tobesureofsafetyandaccuracy,
haveanAuthorizedToroDistributorcheckthe
maximumenginespeedwithatachometer.
Theenginemustbeshutoffbeforecheckingtheoil
oraddingoiltothecrankcase.
Keephandsandfeetawayfrommovingparts.If
possible,donotmakeadjustmentswiththeengine
running.
Chargebatteriesinanopenwellventilatedarea,
awayfromsparkandames.Unplugchargerbefore
connectingordisconnectingfrombattery.Wear
protectiveclothinganduseinsulatedtools.
Keepallpartsingoodworkingconditionandall
hardwaretightened.Replaceallwornordamaged
decals.
UseonlyToroapprovedattachments.Warrantymay
bevoidedifusedwithunapprovedattachments.
Hydraulicuidescapingunderpressurecan
penetrateskinanddoseriousdamage.Keepbody
andhandsawayfrompinholeleaksornozzlesthat
ejecthighpressurehydraulicuid.Usecardboard
orpapertondhydraulicleaks.Fluidaccidentally
injectedintotheskinmustbesurgicallyremoved
withinafewhoursbyadoctorfamiliarwiththis
formofinjuryorgangrenemayresult.

describedinthismanual.Ifmajorrepairsareever
neededorassistancedesired,contactanAuthorized
TORODistributor.
Makesureallhydrauliclineconnectorsaretight,and
allhydraulichosesandlinesareingoodcondition
beforeapplyingpressuretothesystem.
Tobesureofoptimumperformanceandsafety,
alwayspurchasegenuineTOROreplacementparts
andaccessories.Replacementpartsandaccessories
madebyothermanufacturerscouldbedangerous.
Alteringthismachineinanymannermayaffectthe
machine’soperation,performance,ordurability,or
itsusemayresultininjuryordeath.Suchusecould
voidproductwarrantyofTheToroCompany.
