1 2 Preparing to Install the Tow Hitch Installing the Hitch-Mounting Plate No Parts Required Parts needed for this procedure: Procedure WARNING Hydraulic fluid escaping under pressure can penetrate skin and cause injury. 1 Hitch mount 16 Hardened washer 8 Bolt (1/2 x 2 inches) 8 Locknut (1/2 inch) Procedure • Make sure that all hydraulic fluid hoses and lines are in good condition and that all hydraulic connections and fittings are tight before applying pressure to the hydraulic system.

4. Torque the bolt and nut to 37 to 45 N-m (27 to 33 ft-lb). 3 Installing the Tow-Hitch Assembly 5. Pivot the hydraulic cylinder into position between the gussets on the tow hitch (Figure 3). Secure the hydraulic cylinder to the gussets with a flag pin, bolt (3/8 x 1–1/4 inch), washer (3/8 inch) and nut (3/8 inch). Parts needed for this procedure: 6. Extend the tow hitch by lifting the latch handle and slowly pulling out the hitch by hand until the handle locks into place (Figure 13). Figure 13 1. Latch handle 2. Tow-hitch assembly 2.
