1.Pulloutontheredpressurerelieftabandremovethe
blackcapfromthetank.
2.Pourtheproperamountwaterintothetank,andthen
addfoamconcentratethroughtheopeninginthetopof
thetankaccordingtothemanufacturer’sinstructions.
Note:ExtremepHlevels(hardnessorsoftness)ofthe
waterandweatherconditionswillaffecttheamountof
foamconcentrateneeded.
3.Installthecaponthetankandtightenitbyhand.
4.Startoperatingthemarkingsystemandmakeatest
patternontheground.
Note:Whenyourststartthemarkingsystem,allow
1to2minutesforthefoamtoowthroughtheline.
5.Adjustthefoamdensityadjustmentvalvetoobtainthe
desiredconsistencyanddropfrequency(
Figure28).
Note:Ifyouleavethefoaminthelineformorethan
2hours,itmaybecomewatery.Beforeoperatingafter
abreakof2ormorehours,runthemachinefor1to2
minutestoremovetheexcesswater.
6.Ifthefoaminthemachineisverywatery,dothe
following:
A.Closethefoamdensityadjustmentvalve
completely.
B.Operatethefoammarkerfor2minutes.
C.Wait1minuteandthenchecktheconsistencyof
thefoam.
D.Adjustthefoamtoachievethedesiredconsistency.
