Operation
•Neveroperatetheassessmenttrailerwhenitisnot
connectedtoatowvehicle.
•Bealert,slowdown,andusecautionwhenmakingturns.
Lookbehindandtothesidebeforechangingdirections.
•Useextremecarewhenloadingorunloadingthemachine
intooroffofatrailerortruck.
•Usecarewhenapproachingblindcorners,shrubs,trees,
orotherobjectsthatmayobscurevision.
•Usingthemachinedemandsattention.Topreventloss
ofcontrol:
–Operateonlyindaylightorwhenthereisgood
articiallight.
–Driveslowlyandwatchforholesorotherhidden
hazards.
–Donotdriveclosetoasandtrap,ditch,creek,or
otherhazard.
–Reduceyourspeedwhenmakingsharpturnsand
whenturningonhillsides.
–Avoidsuddenstartsandstops.
–Beforebackingup,looktotherearandensurethat
nooneisbehindthemachine.
–Watchoutfortrafcwhennearorcrossingroads.
Alwaysyieldtheright-of-way.
•Stayawayfromthesensorarmwhenthemachineis
operating.Keepallbystandersawayfromthetrailer.
•Donotoperatethemachineundertheinuenceof
alcoholordrugs.
•Lightningcancausesevereinjuryordeath.Iflightning
isseenorthunderisheardinthearea,donotoperate
themachine;seekshelter.
•Ifthetowvehicleenginestallsorthemachineloses
headwayandcannotmakeittothetopofaslope,donot
turnthemachinearound.Alwaysbackthetowvehicle
slowlystraightdowntheslope.
•Donottakeaninjuryrisk!Whenapersonorpet
appearsunexpectedlyinorneartheoperatingarea,stop
operation.Carelessoperation,combinedwithterrain
angles,ricochets,orimproperlypositionedguardscan
leadtothrownobjectinjuries.Donotresumeoperation
untiltheareaiscleared.
•Keepallbystandersawayfromthemachinewheninuse,
stopoperationifabystanderisintheoperatingarea.
•Themachinewillnotopearateoveraspeedof4.0km/h
(2.5mph).
•Donotexceed32.2km/h(20mph)duringtransport.
MaintenanceandStorage
•Parkthemachineonlevelground.Neverallowuntrained
personneltoservicethemachine.
•Usejackstandstosupportcomponentswhenrequired.
•Usecarewhencheckingthesensorarmandtrailer.
•Performonlythosemaintenanceinstructionsdescribedin
thismanual.Ifmajorrepairsareeverneededorassistance
isdesired,contactanAuthorizedToroDistributor.
•Besurethatthemachineisinsafeoperatingconditionby
keepingnuts,bolts,andscrewstight.
•Keephandsandfeetawayfrommovingparts.Ifpossible,
donotmakeadjustmentswithtowvehicle’sengine
running.
•Keepallpartsingoodworkingconditionandallhardware
tightened.Replaceallwornordamageddecals.
•UseonlyToroapprovedattachments.Warrantymaybe
voidedifusedwithunapprovedattachments.
•Nevertamperwithsafetydevices.Checksafetysystems
forproperoperationbeforeeachuse.
•Useonlygenuinereplacementpartstoensurethatoriginal
standardsaremaintained.

Safetydecalsandinstructionsareeasilyvisibletotheoperatorandarelocatednearanyareaofpotential
danger.Replaceanydecalthatisdamagedorlost.
