Ifthetractionunitisttedwithanoperatorrear
platform,andyoustepofftheplatformwiththe
loadraised,themachinecouldtipforwardand
becomeunbalanced.Someonenearbymaybe
pinnedorseriouslyinjured.
Lowerthebucketbeforesteppingoffthe
platform.
Ifthebucketisnotkeptlevelwhilelifting,the
loadcouldbeinadvertentlydumpedonthe
operator.Theoperatorcouldbeinjuredwhen
theloadisdumped.
Whentheliftingthebucket,tiltitforwardto
keepitlevelandtopreventitfromspilling
backwards.

Todeterminethedegreeofslopeyoucantraversewith
thebucketinstalledonatractionunit,ndthestability
ratingforthehillpositionyouwanttotravelinthe
appropriatetablebelow ,thenndthedegreeofslope
forthesameratingandhillpositionintheStabilityData
sectionofthetractionunitOperator’sManual.
Thebucketmaybeusedwhenloadedorempty.
