REAR HEIGHT OF CUT KIT

CAUTION

Before servicing or making adjustments to the

machine, stop engine and remove key from

the switch.

MOUNT BUMPER SPACER (Fig. 1 & 2)

1. Remove (2) rivets securing bumper to top of deck

channel (Fig. 1).

2. Position bumper spacer between bumper and

deck channel aligning mounting holes (Fig. 2).

3. Secure bumper and bumper spacer to deck

channel with (2) machine screws and nuts (Fig. 2).

MOUNT HEIGHT-OF-CUT CHAINS

(Fig. 3 & 4)

1. Insert both chains onto U-bolt as shown in

figure 1.

2. Thread a nut onto U-bolt until a distance of

1-1/4" from top of nut to end of U-bolt is attained.

Repeat procedure on other end of U-bolt.

3. Insert a washer onto each end of U-bolt (Fig. 4).

2. Deck height-of-cut bracket

4. Insert U-bolt through holes in lift arm bracket and

secure with (2) washers and nuts (Fig. 4).

5. Start tractor and raise deck to highest possible

position and turn off engine.

6. Position a chain over each side of deck

height-of-cut bracket (Fig. 4).

7. Align height-of-cut chains with hole for desired

height-of-cut, insert clevis pin through (2) washers,

chains and bracket as shown in figure 4. Secure with

hair pin cotter.

ADJUSTING HEIGHT - OF - CUT (Fig. 4 & 5) 2 The height-of-cut is adjustable from 1 to 5 inches in 1/2 inch increments. 1. Start engine and raise cutting. Stop engine after cutting unit is raised. 2. 2. Using dimensions shown in chart and in figures 8 & 9, locate, position and weld all outer edges of new height-of-cut bracket to lift arm with a3/16 fillet weld. Bracket to be welded to same side of lift arm as hub and support pivot were welded.
