Fan Bracket Kit

Installation Instructions

1. Position the machine on a level surface, lower the

cutting unit, stop the engine, engage the parking brake,

and remove the key from the ignition switch.

2. Disconnect hose from upper radiator support (Fig. 1).

3. Remove fan shroud.

4. Remove degasser and bracket from fan bracket.

5. Release fan belt tension.

6. Remove all remaining components secured to fan

bracket. Remove fan bracket.

7. Install new fan bracket.

8. New fan bracket has one additional mounting tab.

Mount tab to engine as follows:

A. Locate and remove bolt securing corner of engine

shroud to engine. Bolt will be in line with hole in

new tab of fan bracket.

B. Mount fan bracket and engine shroud to engine

with bolt, (2) washers and (2) spacers positioning

as shown in figure 4.

9. Re–install components to fan bracket and tension belt.

Refer to Operator’s Manual for belt tensioning

procedure.
