1. Stop the engine and wait for all moving parts to stop.
2. Disconnect the wire from the spark plug.
3. Loosen the nut on the traction cable anchor (Fig. 1).

4. From the underside of the Personal Pace
handle,
remove the traction cable end fitting from the traction
lever (Fig. 2).

5. Remove the traction cable anchor (Fig. 1).
6. Remove the blade brake cable end fitting from the blade
control bar (Fig. 1).
7. Remove the blade control bar (Fig. 1) by holding it by
the sides and squeezing them together until the bar
comes out of the holes.
8. Remove the starter rope from the rope guide (Fig. 1).
9. Remove the blade brake cable and rope guides (Fig. 1).
10. Remove the upper handle section from the lower handle
section and lay it down behind the lawn mower
housing.
11. Carefully remove the blade brake cable conduit support
from the Personal Pace handle by rotating it upward
until it comes free, then pull it out (Fig. 3).

12. Push the Personal Pace handle down the upper handle
section until it comes loose (Fig. 4).
