Fan Support Kit

Installation Instructions

1. Position the machine on a level surface.

2. Disengage hood latch and open the hood.

3. Engage prop rod, if so equipped.

Note: Retain all fasteners for re–installation of new fan

support.

4. Remove (4) screws securing fan belt guard to frame

(Fig. 1).

5. Remove (2) nuts and washers securing fan belt guard

bracket to muffler clamp on fan support (Fig. 1).

6. Loosen locknut securing adjustable idler pulley, slide

pulley away from fan belt, and remove belt from

pulleys (Fig. 2).

7. Remove (2) capscrews, nuts and clamp cradle securing

front of fan support tube to engine clamp (Fig. 3).

8. Remove (2) bolts securing rear of fan support to engine

(Fig. 3). Remove fan support.

14. Loosely install muffler clamp onto new fan support tube with nuts and washers previously removed (Fig. 4). Do not tighten nuts. 1 15. Position fan support onto engine while aligning mounting holes. 16. Secure rear of fan support to engine with (2) capscrews and nuts previously removed (Fig. 3). 17. Secure front of fan support to engine clamp with cradle clamp, capscrews and nuts previously removed (Fig. 3). 2 18. Remove cotter pin, if necessary, from end of fan hub (Fig. 4).
