Small spacer, 3/4 inch

Medium spacer, 1–3/8 inch

Large spacer, 4–7/8 inch

Nut, 5/16 inch

Installing the new grass deflector

The following instructions are for installing a rubber

deflector onto a 44 inch Mid–Size mower with metal grass

deflector.

Removing the Existing Grass

Deflector

1. Remove the tension on the spring by unhooking the

spring (Fig. 1).

2. Remove the locknut, bolt, spring and spacer holding the

deflector to the pivot brackets (Fig. 1). Save the spring.

3. Remove the grass deflector.
