Installation Instructions

1. Remove the capscrews and nuts securing the existing

hitch straps to the trailer tongue (Fig. 1). Remove the

hitch straps.

2. Position the template onto the trailer tongue so it rests

on the top and is aligned with the end (Fig. 2).

3. Use the template to locate and mark the two hole

locations on each side of the trailer tongue.

4. Drill .406 in. dia. holes at the locations marked.

5. Determine which sets of holes in the tongue plates are

to be used.

6. Mount a tongue plate to each side of the trailer tongue

with (2) capscrews, spacers and lock nuts. The spacers

are to be positioned inside the trailer tongue as shown

in figure 3.

7. Mount the trailer clevis to the tongue plates with (2)

capscrews and lock nuts (Fig. 4).

Important The trailer tongue is to be parallel to the

ground when it is aligned with tow vehicle hitch.
