Installation
1. Under the traction pedal, loosen the jam nut securing
the stop bolt to the floor plate (Fig. 1). Remove and
retain the stop bolt and jam nut.

2. Position the speed control assembly onto the floor plate
aligning the front mounting hole in the base with the
hole vacated by the stop bolt (Fig. 2).

3. Loosely attach the front of the speed control base to the
floor plate with the stop bolt and nut previously
removed. Make the sure the speed control pedal stop is
aligned with the traction pedal rod (Fig. 2 & 3).
4. If the rear mounting hole (Fig. 2) is not present, use the
hole in the rear of the speed control base as a template,
to locate, mark and drill a .277 in. dia. hole in the floor
plate.
5. Secure the rear of the speed control base to the floor
plate with the thread forming screw included (Fig. 2).

6. Re–adjust the pedal stop as follows:
Put the functional control lever in the transport
position and loosen the locknut securing the pedal
stop.
Tighten the pedal stop until it does not contact the
traction pedal.
While applying a light load on the transport pedal,
adjust the pedal stop so it contacts the pedal rod and
tighten the nut.
Note: To decrease the maximum transport speed, raise the
stop bolt height.
Important The tension on the cable must not be
excessive or cable life will be reduced.
