Note: Deter mine the left and right sides of the mac hine from the nor mal operating position.

be remo v ed to ensure bafﬂes will ﬁt properly

ag ainst mo w er dec k.

2. R e pair all bent or damag ed areas of mo w er

dec k and re place any missing par ts .

1. R emo v e the belt co v ers from the mo w er dec k.

2. R emo v e the bolts holding the bafﬂes tog ether .

3. R emo v e the car riag e bolts and ﬂang e n uts

holding the bafﬂes in place ( Figure 1 ).

Note: Sa v e the bafﬂes and hardw are for use

when c hanging to side disc harging mode .

Loosely install the center bafﬂe to the mower deck with 5 bolts (5/16 x 7/8 inch) and 5 ﬂange nuts (5/16 inch) (Figure 3 and Figure 4). 3 5. Install the left bafﬂe into the mower. 6. Operation If residue is allowed to build up in the mower housing, cutting performance will decrease. Selecting the Proper Height-of-Cut Remove approximately one inch or no more than 1/3 of the grass blade when cutting. In exceptionally lush and dense grass you may need to raise the height-of-cut setting or convert to rear discharge.
