1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthedecks,

engagetheparkingbrakeandturntheengineoff.

Removethekeyfromtheignitionswitch.

2.Unlatchandraisethehood.

3.Removetheplugfromthesquareholeintheright

sideofthehood.Discardtheplug.

4.Removethelockingnutfromthelatchassembly

(Figure1).

5.Installthelockinglatchthroughthesquareholein

therightsideofthehood(Figure1).Thecatch

mustbepositionedinsidethehoodandpointing

downward.

7.Locatethe(3)holesintherightsideoftheradiator

support(Figure1).Mountthelatchbrackettothe

radiatorsupportwith(3)carriagescrewsandange

nuts.PositionthelatchbracketasshowninFigure1.

8.Closethehoodslowlytoseeiflatchcatches.If

itdoesnot,loosenthescrewssecuringthelatch

brackettotheradiatorsupportandadjustthebracket

asnecessary.Tightenthescrewsandverifythelatch

catches.

9.Usethekeytolock/unlocklatch.Storethekeyina

convenientandmemorableplace.

1.Carefullypuncturethedecalmaterialonthe

consolepaneltoexposetheexistingholesinfront

oftheenginespeedselectorandenginespeed

increment/decrementswitches(Figure2).

Locate the (3) holes in the right side of the radiator support (Figure 1). Mount the latch bracket to the radiator support with (3) carriage screws and flange nuts. Position the latch bracket as shown in Figure 1.
