Blower Drive and Mounting Kit

For Mounting a Debris Blower, Model 30855 on a

Groundsmaster 3320/3280–D

Part No. 110–8539

Installation Instructions

Important Before the Blower Drive and Mounting Kit

can be installed, the traction unit must be equipped with

the Attachment Frame Kit, Part No. 110–8540.

1. Remove the (3) capscrews, (6) washers, and (3) nuts

securing the belt guard to the blower housing (Fig. 1).

Remove the guard.

2. If the drive shaft is installed, remove the roll pin, 2

capscrews and nut securing it to the blower shaft

(Fig. 1). Remove the drive shaft.

3. Loosen the nuts securing the belt tensioner to the

blower housing (Fig. 2). Release the belt tension and

remove the belt from the pulleys.

4. Remove the (3) screws and lock washers securing the

hub and fan pulley to the fan shaft (Fig. 3). Remove

and discard the pulley and hub.

5. Mount the overrunning clutch to the fan shaft with the

set screw (Fig. 4).

Remove the (3) screws and lock washers securing the hub and fan pulley to the fan shaft (Fig. 3). Remove and discard the pulley and hub. 1.

6. Remove the (3) screws and lock washers securing the hub and blower pulley to the blower shaft (Fig. 3). Discard the pulley but retain the remaining components. 13. Loosely mount the new stand bracket to the blower frame with new washers and nuts (Fig. 7). 7. Mount the new pulley to the blower shaft with the hub, screws and lock washers previously removed (Fig. 4). 8. Remove the nut and washer securing the flat pulley assembly to the idler arm (Fig. 3).

Loosely mount the right side of the traction unit adapter frame to the blower support plate with a stop, (2) 7/16 x 3–1/4 inch capscrews, (4) washers and (2) nuts. Also, secure the remaining blower support plate mounting hole to the frame with a 7/16 x 3 inch capscrew, (2) washers and a nut. Position the components as shown in figure 9. 18. Tighten all fasteners. 19. Align the blower drive shaft with the traction unit drive shaft and slide them together. 20.
