Replacement Filter Kit

For Quiet Collector Bagging System for Tractors

Note: Deter mine the left and right sides of the mac hine from the nor mal operating position.

Installing the Filter

Parts needed for this step:

Filter Frame

Filter

Thread forming screws (12-24 X 3/8 inches)

Lock nut (1/4 inch)

Bolts (1/4 X 3/4 inches)

Procedure

1. Diseng ag e the PTO , mo v e the motion control

lev ers to the neutral loc k ed position and set

the parking brak e .

2. Stop the engine , remo v e the k ey , and w ait for

all mo ving par ts to stop before lea ving the

operating position.

3. Open the collector .

4. With the collector open, pull out the holding

pin and inser t into the hole in the hing e ( Figure

1 ).

5. R emo v e the existing ﬁlter .

6. P osition the new ﬁlter frame in the cor rect

position ( Figure 2 ).

7. Using the ﬁlter frame as a template , mark

the locations where the bolts will be installed

( Figure 2 ).

8. R emo v e the ﬁlter frame .

9. Drill 2 holes , 4.4 mm diameter , for the holes

on the top and left side in the frame ( Figure 2 ).

10. Drill 2 holes , 7 mm diameter , for the holes on

the right side in the frame ( Figure 2 ).

11. Install the mesh ﬁlter around the ﬁlter frame. Notice the round corner of the mesh ﬁlter goes in the corner of the ﬁlter frame (Figure 3). 12. Secure the mesh ﬁlter around the frame at the large end of the frame with the Velcro® (Figure 3). Figure 3 1. Filter frame 2. Filter 3.

13. Loosely install the ﬁlter assembly to the collector at the right side with 2 bolts (1/4 X 3/4 inches) and 2 lock nuts (1/4 inch) as shown in (Figure 4). Do not tighten these bolts. These will be tightened after all parts are loosely installed. 14. Install the ﬁlter assembly to the collector at the top and left side with 2 thread forming screws (12-24 X 3/8 inches) as shown in (Figure 4). 15.
