Weight Kit for Rear Broom

Note: Deter mine the left and right sides of the mac hine from the nor mal operating position.

Installing the Weights

Parts needed for this step:

Weight

Weight bracket

Flange nut (3/8 inch)

Bolt (5/16 x 2 inches)

Locknut (5/16 inch)

Flat washer

Procedure

1. Deter mine the location that the w eights need

to be installed on the broom. F or stee p banks ,

mount the w eights far ther to the outside of the

broom on the wings . T his will help k ee p the

wings do wn. T o g et more do wn pressure in the

center , mount the w eights on the center section

of the broom. T he w eights can be located on

the broom anywhere the bolt patter n will allo w

the w eight brac k et. T here are 10 different

locations .

2. T o install the w eight brac k et to the right br ush

frame , remo v e the existing bolts and install

the w eight brac k et with 2 bolts (5/16 x 2–1/2

inc hes), 2 w ashers (5/16 inc h), and 2 loc kn uts

(5/16 inc h) ( Figure 1 ).

3. T o install the w eight brac k et to the right out

side br ush, use the existing holes and install

the w eight with 2 bolts (5/16 x 2–1/2 inc hes),

2 w ashers (5/16 inc h), and 2 loc kn uts (5/16

inc h) ( Figure 1 ).

4. Install eac h w eight to the w eight brac k et with 2

ﬂang e n uts (3/8 inc h) ( Figure 1 ).

5. R e peat ste ps 2 through 4 for the left side

br ush. It is recommended that the w eights are

installed in the same positions on the left and

right br ushes to k ee p the w eight ev en.
