Clutch Read Switch Kit

ProCore 648 Aerator

Installation Instructions

1. Set the parking brake, stop the engine, remove the key,

and wait for all moving parts to stop before leaving the

operating position.

2. Allow the machine to cool down.

3. Unlatch and remove the belt cover.

Note: Retain all components for reassembly unless

otherwise instructed.

4. On the right side of the frame, locate the switch

brackets mounted behind the right wheel motor

(Fig. 1).

5. Remove the (2) carriage bolts ands nuts securing the

switch bracket to the frame (Fig. 1).

Important If disconnecting the wires, label the switch

leads and wire harness connections to assure correct

reassembly.

6. Remove the screws, switch tabs and nuts securing the

switches to the switch mount (Fig. 1). Remove the

switches from the switch mount.

7. Remove the (2) carriage bolts and nuts securing the

switch mount to the switch bracket (Fig. 1). Discard

the aluminium switch mount but retain the switch

bracket.

8. Reinstall the switches to the switch mount with the

screws, switch tabs and nuts previously removed

(Fig. 1).

9. Loosely mount the new switch mount to the switch

bracket with the (2) carriage bolts and nuts previously

removed (Fig. 2).

10. Secure the switch bracket to the frame with the (2)

carriage bolts and nuts previously removed (Fig. 1).

11. Connect the switches to the wire harness. Make sure

the switch wires and harness wires are labeled the

same.

12. Loosely mount the extension plate to the H–frame tube

with (2) new carriage bolts, bracket and (2) flange

nuts. Position the components as shown in figure 3.

13. Slide the extension plate assembly against the H–frame target (Fig. 4). Make sure the extension plate and target mounting surfaces (except welded edge) are flush and then tighten the nuts. Torque the nuts to 8–12 ft–lbs. 1 2 Figure 4 1. Extension plate 2. H–frame target 14. Position the aluminum switch mount so there is a .02–.08 inch gap between the switch targets and the H–frame target plate and tighten fasteners. 15. Check operation and re–adjust as required. 16. Reinstall the belt cover.
