Installation Instructions

1. Remove the bolts and washers securing the front and

rear of the grass shield to the top of the cutting unit

(Fig. 1).

2. Remove the bolts securing the lift hook to the cutting

unit (Fig. 1).

3. Remove the lift hook and the grass shield from the

cutting unit.

4. Cut off the grass shield mounting ears flush with the

cutting unit side plates (Fig. 2). Make sure the side

plates are smooth.

5. Position the new grass shield onto the cutting unit

(Fig. 3). Align the top shield mounting holes with the

holes in the cutting unit cross member. The grass

shield side panels are to be positioned inside the side

plates.

6. Mount the grass shield and lift hook to the cutting unit with the fasteners previously removed (Fig. 3). 7. Clamp the grass shield side panels to the cutting unit side plates. 8. Using the grass shield side panels as templates, locate, mark and drill a .331 inch diameter hole thru each side plate as shown in figure 4. Figure 4 9. Remove the clamps and secure the side panels to the side plates with socket head screws and lock nuts (Fig. 5).
