Installation Instructions

If you leave the key in the ignition switch, someone

could accidently start the engine and seriously

injure you or other bystanders.

Remove the key from the ignition and disconnect

the wire from the spark plug before you do any

maintenance. Set the wire aside so that it does not

accidentally contact the spark plug.

Caution

Install the Offset Lift Hook

1. Remove the (2) capscrews securing the chain link

mounting bracket (Fig. 1) or the lift hook (Fig. 2) to the

top of the cutting unit. Remove and discard the

components.

2. Install the offset lift hook (Fig. 3) to the top of the

cutting unit with (2) M10 x 1.5 capscrews. Position the

hook with the offset toward the front. Torque the

capscrews to 25–30 ft–lbs. (34–40 N⋅m).

Install the New Pull Link Assembly 1. Slide the sleeve back on each ball joint receiver and unhook the receiver from the cutting unit ball stud (Fig. 4). 7 1 2. Remove the roller shaft, washer and screw securing the anti-scalp roller and pull link assembly to the end of each front carrier frame (Fig. 4). Adjusting the Transport Height Check the transport height (Fig. 6) and adjust, if required, as follows: 1. Position the tractor on a level surface. 2. Remove the carrier frame adjusting screw and jam nut (Fig. 6). Install the new screw and jam nut (included in kit) but do not tighten nut at this time. 2 3 1 1–1/8 in.
