3. Disconnect all the hoses from the fittings and valves on the lift valve (Figure 2). Disconnect and remove the hose from the filter adapter. Operation 5. Using an Allen wrench, adjust the lift valve spool until the desired pressure is attained on the gauge. See the chart below for the recommended pressure setting for the cutting deck. For best performance, the cutting unit bounce on uneven turf is minimal and it does not ride heavily over flat terrain. If scalping occurs or the cut is uneven from side to side, there may be too much weight on the deck and the weight may have to be transferred to the machine: i.e.
