Replacement Muffler Kit

Installation Instructions

Removal

1. Loosen the nuts on the clamp securing the muffler to

the engine exhaust pipe (Fig. 1).

2. Remove the two bolts and washers securing the

muffler bracket to the bottom of the engine (Fig. 2).

3. Slide the muffler off the exhaust pipe and remove the

muffler.

Installation

1. Secure the new muffler mount to the engine base with

(4) 5/16 x 1.612 inch bolts, .344 x .688 inch flat

washers and 5/16 flange head nuts (Fig. 3).

2. Slide the new muffler pipe into the engine exhaust

pipe while inserting the muffler mounting studs into

the muffler mount holes (Fig. 4).

3. Secure the muffler to the muffler mount with (4) .406

x .813 flat washers and 3/8 inch cone lock nuts

(Fig. 4).

4. Secure the muffler pipe to the engine exhaust pipe

with the clamp previously removed (Fig. 4).

5. Mount the muffler shield to the muffler with (4) 3/8 x

1 inch bolts, 3/8 lock washers and .406 x .813 flat

washers (Fig. 4).

6. Tighten all fasteners.
