ReplacingtheBBCPulley

1.Removethe2bladenuts,anti-scalpcup,blade,blade

retainer,andclutchshielddisc.

2.Removethe4screwsthatholdthebladebrakeclutch

shieldinplace.

3.Removethebladebrakeclutchshield.

4.Removethecrankshaftbolt,2cuppedwashers,and

spacer.

5.RemovethelowerBBCpulleyhalfassembly.

6.Movethebeltoutoftheway.

7.Removeanddiscardthealuminumupperpulleyhalf.

8.InstallthenewupperBBCpulleyassembly(BBC

platespacer,driverpulley,upperdriverpulleyhalf,

andspacer).

9.Positionthebeltontothecrankshaftbelowthe

upperpulleyhalf.

10.InstallthelowerBBCpulleyassembly.

11.Installthespacer,2cuppedwashers,andcrankshaft

bolt.

Note:Positionthecuppedwasherssothatthe

cuppedsidefacesupward,towardthehousing.

Note:ApplyLoctite(505-23)tothethreadsofthe

crankshaftboltbeforeinstallation.Donotpinch

thebeltbetweenthe2BBCpulleyhalveswhileyou

tightenthecrankshaftbolt.Torquethecrankshaft

boltto55–60ft-lb.

12.Installthebladebrakeclutchshieldusingthe4

screwsthatyoupreviouslyremoved.

Note:Torquetheclutchshieldscrewsto70–110

in-lb.

13.Installtheclutchshielddisc,bladeretainer,blade,

anti-scalpcup,and2bladenuts.

Note:Torquethebladenutsto280-320in-lbs.

Remove the 2 blade nuts, anti-scalp cup, blade, blade retainer, and clutch shield disc. 2. Remove the 4 screws that hold the blade brake clutch shield in place. 3. Remove the blade brake clutch shield. 4. Remove the crankshaft bolt, 2 cupped washers, and spacer. 5. Remove the lower BBC pulley half assembly. 6. Move the belt out of the way. 7.
