3. Loosen the alternator mounting bolt and release the belt tension. Remove the alternator belt from the pulleys and remove the belt (Figure 2). 4. Remove the 4 bolts securing the fan adapter and the fan pulley to the engine. Remove the adapter and the pulley (Figure 2). 5. Install the new fan pulley and route the alternator belt around the pulley. 6. Slide the new fan adapter through the fan and into the fan pulley. Secure the fan adapter to the engine with 4 M6 bolts (Figure 3). 7.
