Position the traction unit on a level surface, lower the lift arms/cutting units and stop the machine. Remove the key from the ignition switch to prevent accidental starting. 2. Remove the #1 and #4 cutting units from the machine. 3. Remove the (3) bolts and washers securing the bridge plate to the lift arm pivot shafts and the frame plate (Figure 1).

11. At the location marked, drill a .238 inch diameter (letter “B” drill size) hole through the top wall of the cylinder end (Figure 3). 12. Remove any new debris from inside the cylinder end. 13. Install a 90 degree grease fitting into the newly drilled hole. Position the fitting so it points forward (Figure 4). Figure 6 1. Flange nut 2. Bolt, 1/2 x 3–1/4 inch (1) 3. Spacer 4.
