2 Disconnecting the Battery No Parts Required Procedure • For machines with a Cummins engine, remove the negative battery cable from the battery. • For machines with a Yanmar engine, turn the battery-disconnect switch to the OFF position. Figure 2 1. Steering-tower cover 3 2. Mounting bolt (10) 2. Remove the plug from the steering tower (Figure 3). 3. Clean the surface below the hole and install the beacon decal onto the steering tower (Figure 3).

8. Install the steering-tower cover using the 10 bolts that you previously removed (Figure 2). 4 Machines with a Yanmar Engine Connecting the Harness to the Fuse Block and Ground Block Note: Use the short wire harness. 1. . Install the beacon socket to the connector by rotating the beacon socket. Note: This prevents twisting the wire harness. 7. Mount the beacon socket to the beacon bracket with the jam nut included (Figure 7). 8. Plug the beacon onto the socket and tighten the wing nut (Figure 7). 9. Affix the 2 mounting pads to the ROPS and secure the wire harness to the pads with cable ties (Figure 7). Important: Clean the mounting surface with rubbing alcohol before installing the mounting pads.

4. Route the wire harness up the corner post of the cab, through the opening between the beacon mount and the ROPS frame, through the beacon bracket and beacon socket, and plug it into the beacon connector. 6 5. Tighten the bolt and flange nut securing the beacon bracket to the cab. Installing the Fuse 6. Install the beacon socket to the connector by rotating the beacon socket.
