1 2. Pivot the bottom of the hood upward until you can pull the top mounting tabs from the frame slots (Figure 1). 3. Pivot the top of the hood forward and unplug the wire connectors from the headlights (Figure 1). 4. Remove the hood. Preparing a Machine No Parts Required Procedure 1. 2. 3. 4. . Secure a position light to the hood at each location with the amber lens to the outside, as follows: A. Push a lamp bracket onto the studs of each light as shown in lFigure 4. Important: Ensure that you install the brackets to the lights so that the angle on the bracket makes the lights point straight forward after installation, with the amber lens pointed to the outside of the machine. For Kit 120-5045 1. Using the measurements shown in Figure 6, drill 2 holes (6 mm or 1/4 inch) at the outer positions and 1 hole (35 to 38 mm or 1-3/8 to 1-1/2 inches) at the center position. Important: Ensure that the outer 2 holes are symmetrical to the center hole (Figure 6).

2. On the back of the position lights, remove the nuts from the studs. Note: Retain the nut for installation of the position lights. 3. Secure a position light to the hood at each location with the amber lens to the outside, as follows: A. Thread the wiring from each light through the 35 to 38 mm (1-3/8 to 1-1/2 inches) diameter holes that you drilled in the hood (Figure 7). B. Insert the studs on each side of the position lights through the 6 mm (1/4 inch) diameter holes that you drilled in the hood.
