1.Stopthemachineonalevelsurface,stoptheengine,
settheparkingbrake,andremovethekey.
2.Openthehood.
3.Removethepassenger-side,frontfenderandsavethe
fenderandallfasteners.
Note:Youdonotneedtotaketheouterandinner
fendersapart.
4.Locatethesteeringboxopening(
Figure1).
•Ifthemachinehasbeendrivenwithoutacover
overtheopening,andtheareaiswetordirty,
disassembleandcleanthesteeringboxthoroughly.
RefertotheServiceManualoryourAuthorizedToro
Distributorforassistance.
•Ifthemachineisneworhasonlybeenusedin
clean,dryconditions,cleantheareaaroundthe
opening(withoutgettingwaterintotheopening).
