1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.Settheparking

brake,turntheignitionoff,andremovethekey.

2.Removethesteelstrapholdingtheleftendofthe

tailgateinplace.

3.Carefullyopenthetailgate,dropthenowfreeendout,

andslidethetailgatetoremovetherightside.

4.Aligntheroundededgeofthetailgatedrilltemplate

withthetailgatepivotandensurethatbothsurfacesare

ushwiththebed(Figure1).

Note:Ensurethatthe“L”isuprightfortheleftsideof

thetailgateandthatthe“R”isuprightfortherightside.

6.Slidethefrontendoftheleftreinforcementbarover

1 1 G018828 G018829 Figure 3 Figure 5 1. Pop rivets 1. Reinforcement bar 9. Lift the cargo bed to gain better access to the front of the bed. 13. Using a rivet to temporarily hold the side panel template into the front hole, line up the pointed end of the template with the bottom edge of the bed and drill an 8mm (5/16 inch) hole (Figure 6). 10. Using the 2 holes on the front of the reinforcement bar as a guide, drill the 4.75 mm (3/16 inch) holes from the inside of the bed (Figure 4).
