1.Useretaining-ringplierstoremovetheretainingring
fromtheoutputshaftofthetransmission(Figure24).
Note:Keeptheretainingringforinstallingthenew
sprocket.

3.Applyanti-seizelubricanttotheoutputshaftofthe
transmission.
4.Installthenewsmallsprocket,andsecureitwiththe
retainingringthatyouremovedpreviously.
InstallingtheLargeSprocketandthe
Chain
1.Installthebushing,thechain,andthesprocket,and
securethemintopositionwiththe2setscrews(Figure
5).
Important:Alternatebetweenthe2setscrews
asyoutightenthem,sothatthesprocketstays
correctlyaligned.
2.Checkthealignmentofthesprocketsbyplacinga
straightedgeacrossbothofthesprockets(Figure25).
Important:Bothsprocketsmustbealignedwith
thestraightedge,withamaximumdifferenceof
0.57mm(0.022inch).
Ifthesprocketsarenotalignedwithin0.57mm(0.022
inch),loosenthebushingandrepeatsteps1and2.
