PreparingtheMachine

1.Liftthemachineandsupportitwithjackstands.

WARNING

Mechanicalorhydraulicjacksmayfailto

supportthemachineandcauseseriousinjury.

Usejackstandswhensupportingthemachine.

2.Removethelugnutssecuringtherightwheel,and

removethewheel.

3.Removetheange-headbolt(5/16x1-1/2inch)and

theangenut(5/16inch)securingthelinkageendto

theleveronthehydrostaticmotor,andretainthem

forassemblingthelinkageafterinstallingthebracket

(Figure1).

4.Removetheself-tappingscrew(5/16inch)securing

theexpansion-tankbrackettotheframeanddiscard

thescrew(Figure1).

5.Removeanddiscardthe2angenuts(1/4inch)and

the2carriagebolts(1/4x3/4inch)securingthe

brake-handlebrackettothemachineframe(Figure1).

Note:Forbetteraccesstothenuts,movetheparking

braketotheDisengagedpositionandroutearatchet

extensionbarandasocketbetweenthetractionbar

andtheframe.

Installing the Bracket Note: Have another person keep the bolts from moving while you install the nuts. 1. Loosely install the support bracket with the low-profile bolt (3/8 x 1-1/4 inch) and the flange nut (3/8 inch); refer to Figure 2(A, B). 5. Assemble the linkage end to the lever on the hydrostatic motor by installing the existing flange-head bolt through them, and secure the bolt with the existing flange nut (Figure 2E).
