AdjustingtheHeight
Important:Applyingexcessivedownwardpressurewith
thestripingbarmaydamageturfandthestripingkit.
Important:Raisethemowerdecktothetransport
positionwhennotinusetoavoiddamagingthewiper.
Important:Avoidobstaclesthatcandamagethekit.
Temporarilyliftthedecktotransportpositionwhen
performingturnsormovinginreverse.
Thebestresultsfromnormalstripingareachievedbysetting
thebottomedgeofthewiperat1/4to1/2inchbelowthe
bottomofthedeck.
Adjustingthepositionofthewiperwilladjusttheheightof
thestripingbar.Thereare3setsofholestoraiseorlower
thewiper.Themowerdeckcanalsobeloweredorraised
totheadjustthewiperheight;however,thiswillalsoaffect
theheight-of-cut.
Avoidclosetrimmingtoreducedamagetolandscapingand
thestripingbar.Replacethewiperyearlyormoreoftenas
wearrequires.

Limpgrasswherewheeltracksareveryvisibleand
cool-seasongrasstypesfoundinnorthernareaswill
usuallyproducemorestripingcontrast.
Stiffgrasswherewheeltracksarelessvisibleand
warm-seasongrasstypesfoundinsouthernareaswill
usuallyproducelessstripingcontrast.
Transitionzonegrassesfoundinthenarrowbeltregion
canproducemorestripingcontrastinsomeareasand
someportionsofthegrowingseason,whileproducing
lessstripingcontrastinotherareasorportionsofthe
season.
Somegrasstypesproducebetterstripingcontrastwhen
mowingshort.Othergrasstypesormoisturecontentof
thegrasscanprovidebettercontrastwhenmowingata
long/tallheightofcut.Experimentwithwhatworksbest
inyoursituation.
