TheremotestatusLEDblinksslowlyat2Hz(twiceper
second)whenthehandheldremoteistransmittingbutno
buttonsarebeingpressed,whentheoorandoptionbuttons
areactive.Whenyoupressabutton,thelightwillblinkat
10Hz.
ReplacingtheRemote
Batteries
Thehandheldremoteispoweredby4,AAAlkalinebatteries
(1.5Veach)andoperatesbetween2.4to3.2V .Batterylife
isapproximately300hours(continuousoperationwiththe
backlightoff),butbatterylifelongevityisaffectedbyusage
factors,particularlybacklightintensitysetting—thehigher
thebacklightsetting,themorepowerconsumedresulting
inshorterbatterylife.
Important:Keepfreshsparebatteriesavailableatall
timesthatthesystemisinuse.

bracket(Figure25).

8.Installthehandheldremoteintothemagneticremote
bracket,slidethehalvestogethertosecuretheremote,
andtightentheboltinthemagnet(Figure25).
CaringfortheHandheld
Remote
Thoughthehandheldremoteisrugged,careshouldbetaken
nottodroptheunitontohardsurfaces.Tocleanit,usea
softclothmoistenedwithwateroramildcleaningsolution
towipeitpayingparticularattentiontoavoidscratchingthe
LCDscreen.
