PreparingtheCuttingUnit

Keepalltheexistingpartsforinstallingthekit,exceptforthe

rearcoverandthebrushplate.

1.Movethemachinetoalevelsurface,settheparking

brake,shutofftheengine,andremovethekey.

2.Removethecuttingunitfromthemachine.

3.Removethenutssecuringthecovers,andremovethe

covers(Figure1).

Installing the Kit 6. Remove the nuts, bolts, and washers from the brush plate (Figure 4). 1. Install the existing idler assembly to the new brush plate (Figure 5). Figure 4 7. Remove the idler assembly from the brush plate, and discard the brush plate (Figure 4). Figure 5 2. Install the brush plate (Figure 6). Figure 6 3. Install the belt (Figure 7).

4. Remove any dirt and oil from the front cover (Figure 8). 7. Tighten the nuts to secure the covers (Figure 10). Figure 10 Figure 8 8. Remove the bottom plug to allow for drainage (Figure 11). 1. Wear strip Note: Ensure that there is a plug in the top hole; if there is not, install a plug. 5. Apply the wear strip to the front cover as shown in Figure 8. 6. Align the front cover with the long cover, and hold them tightly together as you press the covers into position (Figure 9).
