Removing the Existing Parking Brake No Parts Required Procedure Figure 3 1. Pin Note: Unless indicated, retain all parts to install the kit parking brake. 4. Remove the 2 bolts (3/8 x 1 inch) securing the lower cover to the machine and remove the lower cover (Figure 4). 1. 6. Remove the 2 cotter pins and 2 clevis pins and detach the brake cables from the linkage plate (Figure 6). 9. Discard the welded locknut, linkage plate, washer, and brake lever. 3 Installing the Kit Brake Parts needed for this procedure: 1 Brake lever 1 Washer 1 Linkage plate 1 Locknut Procedure 1. 3. Secure the brake cables to the linkage plate using 2 cotter pins and 2 clevis pins (Figure 9). 5. Install the lower cover to the machine using 2 bolts (3/8 x 1 inch) as shown in Figure 11.
