Installing the Spark Arrestor 1. Install the spark arrestor onto the muffler until the spark arrestor cannot be moved any farther on the tailpipe (Figure 1). Figure 1 1. Tailpipe 3. Spark arrestor 2. Self-tapping screw 2. Mark the spot on the tailpipe where the self-tapping screw on the spark arrestor aligns (Figure 1). 3. Using a 5/64 inch drill bit, drill the marked hole (Figure 2). Figure 2 4. Secure the spark arrestor to the tailpipe with the self-tapping screw.
