1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,engagethe

parkingbrake,shutofftheengine,removethe

key,andwaitforallmovingpartstostop.

2.Allowthemachinetocoolanddisconnectthe

sparkplug;refertoyourOperator’sManual.

3.Removethe2thumbscrewsandspringwashers

securingtheeachhydrauliccompartmentcover

tothemachine(Figure1).

Note:Retainthespringwashersforlater

installation.

4.Removebothofthehydrauliccompartment

coversfromthemachine(Figure1).

Remove the 2 nuts, 2 washers, 2 carriage bolts, and small screw securing each chain guard to the machine (Figure 2). Note: Retain the washers for later installation.

. Secure the sides of both CE hydraulic compartment covers to the frame with a bolt (3/8 x 2 inches), a spring washer, and a locknut (3/8 inch) as shown in Figure 3. 6. Secure 2 bolts (3/8 x 1-1/4 inches) and the 2 washers removed in 1 Preparing the Machine (page 1) to the tops of both the CE chain guards with retaining rings (3/8 inch) as shown in Figure 5. 7. Secure a small screw to the bottom of each CE chain guard with the small retaining ring (1/4 inch) as shown in Figure 5. 8.
