Note:Youcanaccessthetransmissionlterfromunderneaththerightsideofthemachine,inboardofthe

hydraulictank.

1.Placeadrainpanunderthetransmission-oillter(Figure4).

2.Puncturethebottomofthetransmissionlter,andallowtheresidualhydraulicuidtodrainintothe

drainpan(Figure4).

Note:Useatapered-centerpunchorawltopuncturetheltercase

3.Removethetransmissionlterwithalterwrenchanddiscardthelter(Figure4).

4.Wipecleantheoillteradapterattheseatingsurfaceforthelter.

5.Fillthelterwithhydraulicoil.

6.ApplyathinlayerofcleangreaseoroilontotheO-ringofthenewlter.

7.Installthenewlterbyhandandtightthelter1/2to3/4turnafteritmakescontactwiththelterhead

(Figure4).

Important:Donotusealterstrapwrenchtotightenthelter.Astrapwrenchcandentthe

lter,causingittoleak.

8.Starttheengineandrunitatidlefor1minute,andcheckforleaks.

9.Stoptheengineandremovethekey.

10.Checkthetransmissionoillevel;ifthelevelislow,addthespeciedoiltothetransmission;referto

FillingtheTransmissionwithOil(page2).

Important:Whenyoullthetransmissionwithoil,slowlyaddtheoilintothetransmissionto

avoidentrainingairwiththeoil.
