A. Strapped idler arm

6. Using a screwdriver, secure the transmission pulley

through the vent hole. Remove the nut that secures

the transmission pulley to the transmission (Fig.

265).

5. Place a strap around the idler arm. Pull on the strap

and secure it so that tension is released from the

belt (Fig. 264).

8. Remove the belt from the top groove of the variable

speed pulley (Fig. 267).

7. Remove the transmission pulley from the transmis-

sion (Fig. 266).
