NEVER USE METHANOL, GASOLINE CONTAINING METHANOL, GASOHOL CONTAINING MOVE THAN 10% ETHANOL, PREMIUM GASOLINE OR WHITE GAS BECAUSE ENGINE FUEL SYSTEM DAMAGE COULD RESULT. DO NOT USE FUEL ADDITIVES OTHER THAN THOSE MANUFACTURED FOR FUEL STABILIZATION DURING STORAGE SUCH AS TOR'S STABILIZER/CONDITIONER OR A SIMILAR PRODUCT. SERVICING AIR CLEANER Normally, clean air cleaner after every 25 operating hours. More frequent cleaning is required when mower is operated in dusty or dirty conditions. 1. Stop engine and pull wire off spark plug (Fig. 13). 2. Remove screw from top of air cleaner.
MAINTENANCE DRAINING GASOLINE 1. Stop engine and wait tor engine to cool. Pull wire off spark plug {Fig. 13). Note: Drain gasoline from a void engine only. 2. Remove cap from fuel tank and use pump—type siphon to drain fuel into clean gas can. Note: This is the only procedure recommended for draining fuel. CHANGING CRANKCASE OIL Change oli after the first 2 operating hours and after every 25 hours thereafter.

Since sand and abrasive material can wear away the meta that connects the flat and curved parts of the blade, check blade before using the mower. MAINTENANCE GREASE FITTING Self~propelled model only Figure 20 CHECKING TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL The transmission is filled with E.P. 90 gear oil that has a GLIB or GLIB rating. Level of gear oil must be checked at least every 25 operating hours, before storage and before the mowing season begins. 1. Stop engine and pull wire off spark plug {Fig. 13). 2. Remove two screws and lift off transmission cover {Fig. 21). TRANSMISSION COVER 337 oozes out of hole in gear case, and quickly install plastic plug.
MAINTENANCE CLEANING MOWER HOUSING To ensure best performance, keep underside of mower housing clean, especially the kickers, 1.
