Wheneveryouinstallanewself-propelcableorifthe
self-propeldriveisoutofadjustment,adjusttheself-propel
drivecable.
1.Loosenthecablesupportnut(Figure30).

thereisnoslackinthecable(Figure31).

3.Tightenthenutonthecablesupport.

•Stayintheoperatingposition(behindthe
handle)whentheengineisrunning.
•Donotallowbystandersinthearea.
Forbestresults,cleanthemachinesoonafteryouhave
completedmowing.
1.Lowerthemachinetoitslowestcuttingheightsetting.
RefertoAdjustingtheCuttingHeight(page9).
2.Movethemachineontoaatpavedsurface.
3.Washouttheareaunderthereardeectorwherethe
clippingsgofromthehousingtothegrassbag.
Note:Washouttheareawiththebag-on-demandin
boththefullyforwardandfullyrearwardpositions.
4.Attachagardenhosethatisconnectedtoawater
supplytothewashoutportonthemachinehousing
(Figure32).

8.Shutoffthewateranddisconnectthegardenhose

housingtopreventitfromrusting.
10.Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringthemachine
inanenclosedarea.
