Procedure
Important:Yourmachinedoesnotcomewithoilin
theengine,butitdoescomewithabottleofoil.Before
startingtheengine,lltheenginewithoil.
Max.ll:20oz.(0.59l),type:SAE30detergentoilwithan
APIserviceclassicationofSF,SG,SH,SJ,SL,orhigher.
Note:Whenthecrankcaseisempty,pourabout3/4of
thecrankcasecapacityofoilinthecrankcase,thendothe
following:
1.Movethemachinetoalevelsurface.
2.Removethedipstickbyrotatingthecap
counterclockwiseandpullingitout(Figure6).

3.Wipethedipstickcleanwithacleancloth.
4.Insertthedipstickfullyintotheoil-lltube,then
removethedipstick.
5.Readtheoillevelonthedipstick(Figure6).
•IftheoillevelisbelowtheAddmarkonthe
dipstick,slowlypourasmallamountofoilinto
theoil-lltube,wait3minutes,andrepeatsteps
3
through5untiltheoillevelonthedipstickisat
theFullmark.
•IftheoillevelisabovetheFullmarkonthe
dipstick,draintheexcessoiluntiltheoillevel
onthedipstickisattheFullmark.Referto
ChangingtheEngineOil(page15).
Important:Iftheoillevelinthecrankcaseistoo
lowortoohighandyouruntheengine,youmay
damagetheengine.
6.Installthedipsticksecurely.
Important: Change the engine oil after the r st 5
operating hour s ;changeityearlythereafter.Refer
toChangingtheEngineOil(page15).
